Under the direction of the Construction Manager, the primary responsibilities of the Construction Foreman are to keep the work site and crew safe while managing the day to day operations on current projects. This includes the ability to direct and assist the crew in the placement, installation, and preparation of forms, as well as finishing concrete sidewalks and curbs in residential, commercial, and public projects. The Construction Foreman will provide overall on-site leadership and oversee operations, maintenance, safety, and Quality Assurance. The Concrete Foreman will work with the entire concrete crew, ensuring a safe work site and communicate all job related information to the Project Team. Project staffing and selection of required equipment to perform tasks in line with budgeted cost and production schedules is necessary. Safe, efficient production will be a primary concern of this position.
Manage day to day operations on current projects with ability to successfully organize and prioritize tasks.
Assist in building structures for curb, gutter and sidewalk concrete installation.
Communicate daily with Projects personnel.
Communicate field issues back to the Project Manager and superintendent.
Coordinate materials & equipment needed for daily tasks.
Visit construction sites to verify project is ready for crews to mobilize.
Review construction drawings with crew.
Ensure crews are performing to their abilities & daily objectives.
Maintain schedules to meet project schedule deadlines.
Ensure safety of the crew.
Ensure that quality of work is up to company standards.
Maintain a clean job site and make sure all tools and equipment are picked up every night.
Other duties as required.
5 years of concrete finishing experience.
Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
Basic mathematical ability.
Experience with handsaw tools and concrete cutting equipment including trowels, groovers and hand floats.
Knowledge of and ability to use small hand and power tools a plus.
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., walk on uneven surfaces, stand, bend, twist, and kneel for long periods of time while performing strenuous physical activity under varying and adverse field conditions.

Reliable transportation to and from work.
Experience working in all weather conditions.
Flexibility of working long hours. Hours may vary from early in the morning to late in the evenings.
Moderate travel required; must be willing to work in or travel to other locations as needed.
Proven ability to develop relationships and to work with teams as both a leader and a participant.
High standard of ethics, integrity and trust.
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, physical, and motor vehicle records check; a criminal background check will also be conducted.
