Do you like to collect and examine rocks when you were a kid? Would you like to be instrumental in guaranteeing product quality? Lehigh Hanson is seeking a Quality Control Technician. This position is responsible for conducting aggregate quality control tests and performing related duties as required within the PennDOT certified producer program. Additionally, this position may at times be required to work nights, operate the truck scale at a site, perform clerical work and other peripheral duties as required.
This position is required to work at multiple locations.
This position is located in Torrance, PA.

What you'll get to do :
List and test quality control samples
Document test results
Provide feedback to management to ensure the production process yields product that is in compliance with specifications
Maintain and calibrate testing equipment
Review and discuss test results with state representatives, provide assistance to state representative in testing and sampling
Prepare and supply certifications for material shipped
Control and monitor aggregates stock piles to ensure proper product mixtures and prevent contamination
Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures; perform daily equipment inspections, as well as identify and assist in correcting unsafe conditions
Operate the truck scale when needed
Other duties as assigned
Who we are looking for :
Demonstrated basic math skills
Strong communication skills to interact with customers, contractors and plant personnel
PennDOT certification preferred. Must be willing and able to pass the certification if it is not currently held
Ability to work overtime and or different shifts as needed
Ability to work independently
Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds over 100 feet on a regular basis
Solid computer skills preferred
Complies with all federal, state and local guidelines
