Lehigh Hanson is seeking a qualified Business Manager.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO

The Business Manager is responsible for actively participating and supervising administrative functions for the Arizona operations, with a strong emphasis within the Sales Office functions. This position will report directly to the General Sales Manager, with a dotted line to VP/GM Arizona.

  • Manage and Supervise the Customer Service Department and Inside Sales staff.

  • Oversees and assists in the implementation of quotes/projects entered into the billing systems on a daily basis. (Command – JWS).

  • Performs daily review of all previous days shipped product pricing for accuracy before it goes to the Billing Department.

  • Follows Department and Company guidelines for the procurement, processing and application of cash.

  • Ensures that billing systems are accurately updated with product line price lists and customer assignment.

  • Monitors and processes all credit/re-bill memos related to sales, credit, and operations.

  • Maintain accurate customer lists and assignment of customers.

  • Resolve customer billing issues, and ensure adjustments on receivables are processed in an accurate and timely manner on a daily/weekly basis.

  • Manage and Supervise Accounts Payable and Administrative staff.

  • Assures all quotes and Purchase Orders are maintained and filed daily (Paper or Electronic files)

  • Field customer and vendor calls and inquiries and provide service/assistance support and problem resolution, and other duties in support of sales activities

  • Supports Field Representatives to respond to customer inquiries regarding credits/debits, invoice and statement errors, concerns or questions.

  • Frequent interaction with but not limited to Sales, Operations, Credit, Billing and Customers.

  • Complete special project assignments from Regional Sales Team and upper management, and generate and provide various ad hoc reports and data analysis as needed.

  • Perform month end responsibilities including account accruals, special adjustments, and reconciliations on customer accounts as necessary.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Supervises 6-8 direct reports in Customer Service, Inside Sales, Accounts Payable and Administrative support.

This position will be based in Tempe, AZ.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university, minimum 3-5 years of related experience required.

  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, Command, JWS with the ability to adapt and learn new systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.

  • Ability to Multi-task and work with limited supervision.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
