SUMMARY STATEMENT AND POSITION MISSION

Under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager, this hourly position will function as a part of a team and support the Production operating requirements. This position’s primary objectives are to cost-effectively meet the production requirements of the plant. This position starts at $28.64 per hour and is eligible for Benefits after 30 days.

This position is located in Speed, IN.

REGULAR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Know and follow all safety rules and regulations to assure a safe workplace.

  • Take necessary action (report on, operate, repair, clean, feed, adjust, etc) on plant equipment and process as required by inspections or the supervisor.

  • Locates and troubleshoots problems in the field.

  • Know environmental rules and act to keep plant in compliance.

  • Assists in laboratory sampling and procedures as assigned.

  • Performs whatever work is needed in the preheater tower such as operation of cardox blasters, air/water lances, cleans ducts and vessels, and inspect/troubleshoot equipment.

  • Maintain/repair dust collector systems.

  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections, performs lubrication as assigned and checks and maintains lubrication systems.

  • Participates and contributes to basic routine root cause analysis on problems based on knowledge of equipment and its function.

  • Performs housekeeping duties as necessary or assigned.

  • Performs all duties as assigned by Production Supervisor.

Physical Requirements

Position requires lifting, carrying, standing, walking.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • College or Vocational Technical Education preferred

  • 5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, the potential of rotating 12-hour shifts

  • Must be able to work overtime.
