Lehigh Hanson is seeking a qualified Quality Control Technician for the Sanger Aggregate plant to be based out of Sanger, CA.

What you’ll get to do:
Sampling of Aggregate Production and Shipped Materials
Monitoring and testing of aggregate shipments to Concrete and Asphalt Plants.
Performing moisture content testing on the sand and aggregates and verification of Moisture Meters for Concrete Plants.
Becoming ACI Certified and sampling concrete for internal QC testing of various concrete mixes.
Performing Strength Testing of sampled Concrete and reporting the results to the QC Manager for mix history development.
Utilizing ACI Certification for sampling concrete for internal QC testing of various concrete mixes.
Obtaining Caltrans Certifications through their JTCP Program in Soil & Aggregate, HMA I, and HMA II.
Quality Control testing of Asphalt Materials
Providing Field Supervision and Monitoring of on-going projects as needed.
Regular and on-time attendance.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental legislation, regulations, and company policies and procedures. Report any unsafe condition, accidents or incidents to supervisor immediately.
Maintain work area in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
Will be required to work some Saturdays, Nights / Early Mornings.
Regular and on-time attendance.
Other duties as assigned.
Who we are looking for:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Strong ability in performing mathematical calculations.
Prior experience in the ready mix concrete laboratory testing is required.
ACI Field Grade 1 Sampling Technician required, though it may be expired.
ACI Laboratory Strength Testing Technician preferred but not required
Proficient with computer and software databases, primarily MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.), and Kronos Timekeeper.
Experience in resolving problems and dealing with difficult situations.
Ability to understand oral and written instructions relating to job duties
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
