This position will be responsible for completing the welding and fabricating projects throughout the San Diego area. This involves laying out, cutting, fitting, measuring, and welding metals to create the desired shape or object.

May work in Corona when necessary.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  1. Safety
  • Becoming an active safety partner with peers.

  • Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and company regulations.

  • Report unsafe conditions.

  • Report accidents or incidents immediately.

  1. Operations
  • Responsible for welding and fabricating work at aggregate sites.

  • Will perform welding work using forming and cutting equipment and use of gas torch and welder.

  • Will analyze diagrams and specifications and cut all metal accordingly with help of welding torch.

  • Responsible for creating and retaining diagrams of work performed.

  • Will evaluate finished products and perform quality checks.

  • Will perform modification and repair work on current equipment when needed.

  • Responsible for using blueprints along with work plans to develop and design welding projects.

  • Will order materials and supplies as needed.

  1. Lead person Responsibilities
  • This position may eventually lead a two or three person crew.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prefer high school diploma or GED

  • Must have three to five years of welding and fabricating experience

  • Must be highly detailed and knowledgeable of the many welding techniques and tools

  • Experience working in a construction and/or aggregates facility desired

  • Positive, Team Oriented philosophy
