Summary

We are searching for a dedicated Dispatch Supervisor who can coach and motive Dispatchers as they work to execute meeting customer service demands. The Dispatch Supervisor will hire, onboard, and assist in the training process, ensuring that every Dispatcher is well prepared to execute their duties. You will continue to support Dispatchers after training by monitoring their progress, ensuring they understand and meet expectations, answering their questions, providing them with ongoing coaching opportunities and inspiration.

What you'll get to do

  • Establish annual goals, priorities, milestones, and timelines

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures as required

  • Collaborate with the team, departments, and management to achieve goals

  • Continually analyze and identify areas for potential increased efficiency

  • Support and advise staff in training and problem-solving

  • Schedule employees to ensure consistent customer service support

  • Maintain Dispatcher’s hardware and software tools while providing an ergonomic and safe working environment

  • Liaise with Cement Division supporting Tanker Dispatchers logistics demands

  • Schedules Driver random drug testing

  • Working with operation managers, maintains control of driver labor

Essential Experience & Skills

  • High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent

  • May have any Post-Secondary Education or equivalent, plus relevant work experience

  • Minimum of 10 years dispatching in related industry

  • Dispatch, call center, customer service, or supervisory experience required

  • Ability to coach, train, and motivate employees and evaluate their performance

  • Excellent problem solving, leadership, and customer service skills

  • Advanced problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers, contractors, managers, drivers, and plant personnel

  • Ability to remain claim and courteous under pressure and navigate tense situations, especially during busy hours

  • Excellent skills with technology, especially computers, software applications, and phone systems

  • Fluent knowledge of Command Series software

  • Complies with all federal, state, and local laws and guidelines

Work Environment

Role operates in a office with some exposure to a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
