We are seeking a qualified Sales Representative for our NY Construction Materials group. This opportunity is perfect for the sales representative professional who is looking to grow their career with an industry leader. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Representative will deliver outstanding sales results by establishing and maintaining relationships with the local highway, commercial and residential construction market for the purpose of selling, servicing, and building relationships within a specific territory.
The position will be based in the Syracuse / Central NY Area .

What you’ll get to do:
Target and acquire new accounts by identifying new customers in highway, commercial and residential construction markets.
Ensure compliance with company requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of required guidelines along with monitoring for compliance.
Proactively participate in all health & safety activities to help facilitate continuous improvement of the company's health & safety performance.
Work with the region sales team to create strategies to expand markets and increase sales volume within key accounts.
Build relationships with customers to create top-of-mind awareness for Lehigh Hanson products.
Strengthen and grow existing customer relationships.
Represent Lehigh Hanson at industry functions and trade shows.
Manage activities within assigned cost budgets.
Effectively execute administrative duties including but not limited to reports of call, weekly activities, business justifications, and monthly reports.
Who we are looking for:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
Prefer 3 - 5 years’ experience in construction aggregates (gravel, limestone, fine sand, concrete sand, HMA and ready-mix concrete or related products.
Proven track record that shows sales growth.
Experience in heavy building materials, concrete, asphalt, construction, or building materials distribution channels.
Demonstrable high communication skills (verbal and written).
Demonstrable experience working with financial statements.
Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
Experience with a CRM (such as Microsoft Dynamics) a plus.
