HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO

As an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor for Lehigh Hanson you will be able to create a safe environment and plan the work day for up to 10 Electricians. You will be able to plan, budget, and execute projects for upgrading plant automation and equipment. You will troubleshoot and look for more efficient ways to solve equipment problems. The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor will work closely with one other supervisor, an Electrical Inspector, a Sr. Systems Control Analyst and report to the Sr. Electrical Engineer.

  • Plan, schedule, execute, and supervise electrical/inst. repair and preventative maintenance work.

  • Ensure employees are properly trained in electrical craft skills and safe work practices.Evaluate training needs and provide additional training as needed.

  • Close interaction with production and maintenance groups, as well as the plant Environmental Engineer.

  • Knowledge of material flow and process in order to carry out safe repairs.

  • Troubleshoot and identify all types of electrical and instrumentation problems.

  • Knowledge of SAP system, familiarity with parts location, and the ability to charge and reorder material.

  • Prepare specifications for electrical and instrumentation equipment for requests for quotations.

  • Implement company policies and procedures, including Union contract.

  • Provide input to plant capital plan and operation plan.

  • Handle projects from conception through commissioning, including coordination and supervision of contractors.

  • Programming and troubleshooting of PLC’s & DCS’s.

  • Participate in the salaried electrical department on-call system.

  • Complete assigned work and be in compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements.

This position will be based at Nazareth, PA.

HERE’S WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum 2 years electrical/electronic technology degree or equivalent experience in the maintenance of electrical power and control systems

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

  • High power transmission and distribution, 69KV to 4160 volts.

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in maintenance supervision for heavy industry (cement exp. preferred)

  • Medium and low voltage motor and controls knowledge.

  • Knowledge of analog and digital control systems including PLC’s & DCS’s.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience related to operation and maintenance of process instrumentation devices, analog and digital; CEMS instrumentation knowledge a plus.

  • PC skills, PC based HMI systems.

  • LAN troubleshooting skills.

  • An understanding of process control systems

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication (written and verbal) skills.

  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and MSHA safety requirements

  • Demonstrated commitment and ability to work in a Total Quality Environment
