The Operations Supervisor role is based in Meadow Lake, SK and reports directly to the Manager Concrete North Saskatchewan.

What you'll get to do:

  • Ensure high level of customer service satisfaction for on time delivery and schedule flexibilitywhile obtaining efficient, timely, and cost-effective delivery ofproduct

  • Dispatch and Batch Concrete, along with preparing delivery tickets andshipping documents

  • Maintain high level of product quality by monitoring slump control andtemperature

  • Order plant raw materials, cement, fly ash, aggregates, color, and admixtures to ensureaccurate inventory levels, andstockpiles

  • Maintain control of materials inventory to eliminate loss and provide accuratereporting

  • Supervise plant labor resources to optimizeproductivity

  • Provide supervision of ready-mix truck drivers and yardpersonnel

  • Take a lead role in ensuring a positive, safe, healthy, and regulatory compliant workenvironment

  • Ensure attainment of delivery, plant maintenance costs, and operating income for theplant

  • Manage existing customer relationships by responding to pricing requests, investigating job requirements, and resolving customer concerns

  • Supervise maintenance, repair and permitting of mobile and plantequipment

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • 3 or more years of ready-mix concrete plant productionexperience

  • Proven understanding of batch plant operations, batch controls, dispatch, plant production systems, mix designs, and productquality

  • Experience in quality control, plant operations, distribution, andmaintenance

  • Computer and software proficiency, particularly MicrosoftOffice

  • Supervisory experience with professional communication and customer serviceskills

  • Motivation and ability to embrace all the aspects of the job such as accountability for the people, assets, and performance of the site; work fluctuating hours; and personally doing manual laborsuch as repairing equipment, and front end loader operating
