Lehigh Hanson is seeking a qualified Mobile Equipment Mechanic . The Mobile Equipment Mechanic is a skilled position that requires training and/or extensive experience. He/she is responsible for the repair and maintenance of equipment and vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
This position will reside in Lake Ariel, PA

What you'll get to do:
Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, such as cranes, bulldozers, graders, and conveyors, used in construction, logging, and surface mining.
Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
Repair and assess malfunctions, rebuild, and perform maintenance on construction equipment, such as cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trench-digging machines, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors and pneumatic tools.
Follow MSHA Safety Policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment. Takes corrective action to address minor problems or reports compliance issues to appropriate supervisor for resolution.
Who we are looking for:
Minimum of 5 years of experience (or formal technical training) mechanical troubleshooting and repair
Some welding experience desired
Open pit mining operations and aggregate products experience
Frequently lift 25 pounds; occasionally lift up to 70 pounds
A safety record that indicates a knowledge of MSHA safety requirements and safe work practices. MSHA training a plus.
