The Inventory Control Associate role is based in Katy, Texas and reports directly to the Business Analyst – Campbell Concrete.

The Inventory Control Associate will be responsible for gathering weekly and monthly raw material inventory levels, and completing daily and weekly reports focused on Raw Material Inventory Control, Sales/Billing Reconciliation, Fuel Reconciliation. The Inventory Control Associate will ensure that the needs of the company are consistently met. This includes completing all assigned duties and tasks timely and accurately.

What you’ll get to do

  • Work a Sunday-Thursday work week. Days off Fri/Sat.

  • Utilizing the company drone, drone all ready-mix plants weekly/monthly as assigned.

  • Compile all drone flight data for all locations using third party website and provide reports as assigned following the required timelines.

  • Work closely with multiple departments across the company including AP, Plant Operations, and Quality Control.

  • Support multiple departments by providing timely reporting and analysis.

  • Ability to work comfortably individually, and closely with team members, field personnel, and corporate office representatives to meet all month end related goals/deadlines.

  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly discrepancy reports.

  • Ability to work overtime to meet changing deadlines. Overtime is required at month close.

  • Perform a variety of administrative duties including copying, filing, and directing incoming phone calls.

  • Provide backup to accounts payable clerks as necessary.

  • Cross train with other back office team members as back up when necessary.

  • Provide support to other/special projects as necessary.

Essential Experience and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of three (3) years previous accounting/inventory control experience.

  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.

  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with Excel.

  • Good communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to maintain a professional approach always.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks according to deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work collaboratively with others of all levels.

  • Knowledge of Oracle/JD Edwards and OnBase proficiency a plus.
