HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO

Do you consider yourself organized and detail oriented? Would you like to work in an office atmosphere that is casual yet bustling? Lehigh Hanson is seeking a Construction Payroll Clerk who can multi task and wants to be part of the NY Construction team!

  • Provide administrative support for Construction Management and Field Supervisors

  • Be the Lehigh Hanson liaison with the Empire State Association responsible for construction benefits and act as the audit contact for reporting

  • Compiling, entering and reporting Davis Bacon payroll

  • Handle all NYS and Federal Civil Rights reporting including EBO

  • Tracking equipment utilization

  • Maintain rate sheets for all projects along with completing all thruway and census reporting

  • Cross Train for the many duties of the Construction Administration Coordinator

  • Learn and put into practice safe working practices and compliance with all policies and regulations; as well as identify and assist in correcting unsafe conditions

This position will reside in Jamesville, NY.

HERE’S WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Knowledge of our JDE business system is a plus

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2 yr. degree preferred

  • Knowledge of NYS construction prevailing wage system and NYS DOL interface a plus

  • Solid organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and flexibility to adapt to changing business situations

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written

  • Ability to work extended hours and irregular schedules

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time, stand and lift boxes occasionally
