Lehigh Hanson is seeking a qualified Senior Business Manager to support its operations in the southern half of the United States. The position will be located at our corporate office in Irving, TX.

Reporting to the South Region Vice President Finance, the Senior Business Manager is responsible for planning and controlling South Region’s overall financial information, plans and systems in the business line Aggregates. This position appraises operating performance in terms of costs, budgets, operating policies, capital planning, trends, and increased profit opportunities. The Senior Business Manager provides timely feedback to the Vice President Finance and South Region’s business leaders.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Provide financial planning, capital planning, reporting, and forecasting for South Region’s business line Aggregates.

  • Monitor and analyzes operating results against budget and past performance and provides South Region’s senior management with high-level management reports, proper ad-hoc analysis and interpretation of performance.

  • Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating results and action to increase profitability and enhance long-term return on investment.

  • Pro-actively engage in the preparation of CapEx projects and develops financial models for business development projects; tracks capital project spending and timing against forecasts and budget to understand and report variances.

  • Assist in developing strategic plans to achieve organizational objectives and ensures the safeguard of assets through the establishment and adherence to effective controls and procedures.

  • Responsible for the preparation of standard reporting packages and presentations for submission to Corporate and Group.

  • Work closely with Corporate Shared Service organizations, ensuring efficient and effective financial processes in compliance with all policies, reporting requirements, and information requests.

  • Develop relationships and acts as resource to South Region business leaders.

  • Proactively engage in the health & safety of employees to continuously improve the company's safety performance.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience in accounting and/or industry financial positions covering accounting and finance functions.

  • Current knowledge of accounting, management accounting and familiarity with financial processes and controls.

  • Ability to develop/apply financial models (DCF & related) supporting CapEx/ Investment decisions.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

  • Experience in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other reporting tools; recent experience with Essbase is preferred.

  • Strong communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
