Lehigh Hanson is seeking a qualified Corporate Paralegal. The Paralegal will work in Lehigh Hanson’s corporate office in Irving, Texas, as a member of the Law Department’s Legal Operations team. Under the supervision of the Associate General Counsel & Director of Legal Operations, the Paralegal will support and assist on corporate governance, legal matters, and legal support services in functional areas of outside counsel & legal vendors, finance & budget, departmental operations, data analytics, and legal technologies.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO

  • Perform entity-maintenance and record-keeping activities.

  • Assist with entering and updating entity information in the company’s entity-management systems.

  • Assist on corporate and business filings.

  • Maintain and ensure compliance with information governance practices and policies.

  • Handle subpoenas and service of process documents.

  • Administer legal matters in Legal Tracker, the company’s matter-management and e-billing system, and associated claims management systems on intake, matter assignment, file documentation, and invoice processing and payments.

  • Review and adjust invoices in compliance with billing guidelines.

  • Track and analyze spend data for evaluation and performance.

  • Participate in accounting and financial reporting activities.

  • Pursue unclaimed funds recoveries.

  • Work closely with vendors, other departments and business units, and team members on coordination of activities involving business processes and systems.

  • Assist with administrative duties.

  • Take on additional tasks and projects assigned.

This position will be based at our corporate office in Irving, Texas. HERE’S WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • At least 5 years of relevant corporate experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department;

  • Experience using legal time-and-billing software for law firms and/or an e-billing system for in-house legal departments;

  • Ability to track, analyze and evaluate data. Exceptional data analysis skills;

  • Experience using a web-based, information-management system;

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university or significant relevant experience;

  • Paralegal certificate from ABA-approved paralegal program is preferred, though not required;

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and SharePoint;

  • Advanced Excel skills; and

  • SAP or JDE Experience a plus.
