We are currently looking for an IT Project Manager. This is a high visibility role reporting into the Manager, IT Project Management Office (PMO) with primary responsibility for the effective management of various projects at Lehigh Hanson North America (“NAM”). The IT Project Manager (PM) oversees all aspects of the most complex projects in the IT portfolio. The PM is responsible for coordination and completion of the project and to this end will perform a variety of tasks including planning, facilitating meetings, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring, summarizing and communicating progress of the project.

This position will reside at the corporate office in Irving, Texas. What you’ll get to do:

  • Effectively leads and motivates project teams through the tasks of developing and executing project objectives.

  • Manages stakeholder expectations and communication flow as they relate to project deliverables, scope and the internal project team.

  • Facilitates and works with team members and leads to define a detailed and accurate project scope.

  • Prepares agendas and leads project meetings; takes meeting notes and ensures follow-through for all meetings.

  • Defines and manages team expectations regarding scope of work and responsibilities.

  • Accurately anticipates and catches deviations from a plan or schedule early to assess their impact to the schedule and to keep stakeholders informed.

  • Ensures projects meet deadlines

  • Manages vendor relationships as it relates to the project.

  • Coordinates across departments to manage day-to-day workflow to ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget.

  • Develops and manages project schedules, budgets and requests for change

  • Ensures internal systems are updated with the necessary information to ensure all team members, managers and directors can access the necessary project and/or resource related information.

  • Ensures compliance with internal project management methodology.

Who we are looking for:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in an Information Technology (IT) project manager role with an emphasis on managing projects in a PMO office by aligning business requirements with IT solutions.

  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal, negotiation and organizational skills.

  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate project teams.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, with multiple priorities and skillsets.

  • Flexibility to adapt work style to environmental changes.

  • Broad understanding of technologies and processes that support business systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to follow project management methodology, plan and to implement projects on time and within budget.

  • Proficient at leading the project team in defining the project deliverables, milestones, resource plan, communication plan, testing plan and schedule

  • In depth understanding of business systems life-cycle and associated implementation methodologies, tools and techniques.

  • Proven financial acumen, i.e., ability to work with stakeholders and sponsors at all levels of the organization and all business process functions

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of management to assess business requirements, and to plan, manage and deliver stable, reliable and cost-effective technology solutions.

  • Proven experience managing projects leveraging SharePoint and Microsoft Project as collaboration, capacity management, and project health monitoring tool. Proficient using Microsoft Project.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience.

  • PMP® Certification is desirable.
