Position is responsible for managing the processing of setting up new AP vendors, making changes to existing AP vendors, and the appropriate yearend tax filings. Overall AP knowledge, from beginning to end, is important, as well as the ability to work in a fast paced, high performance culture. Position is to ensure all support functions are completed in a timely and efficient manner while optimizing relationships with field personnel and sustaining internal controls of Accounts Payable procedures. In addition to supervisory duties, this position is also responsible for developing the skills of his/her direct reports, including technical/system knowledge, writing and management skills.

This position will reside at the corporate office in Irving, Texas. What you’ll get to do:

  • Lead the NAM SSC Accounts Payable Vendor Maintenance team of 2 FTEs.

  • Primary responsibility is managing the processing of new vendor setups and vendor change requests within both JDE and SAP, with the ability to perform this same work.

  • Perform IRS TIN matching as well as banking validation.

  • Support Lehigh Hanson locations in timely processing of vendor record setups and vendor changes.

  • Establish and maintain closing working relationship with Lehigh Hanson’s Purchasing team.

  • Drive further process improvements and efficiency gains within the vendor maintenance area.

  • Standardize efforts of key processes within the vendor maintenance area in preparation for single SAP platform.

  • Manage key KPIs reporting around vendor maintenance processes.

  • Work closely with entire NAM SSC AP Group to improve upon timeliness and efficiencies.

  • Drive a customer service mentality throughout the AP department, motivating the employees to exceed current performance levels.

  • Enforce strict compliance to internal controls and adherence to company policies.

  • Provide timely customer service for all calls, emails, and questions from vendors, internal and external customers while meeting or exceeding department service level agreements.

  • Develop or update standard operating procedures for all areas of vendor maintenance.

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business related field, or equivalent knowledge in experience

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable supervisory role preferred

  • 5 - 10 years of functional experience in Accounts Payable

  • Solid knowledge of the organization, the competences, and products of Lehigh Hanson and HeidelbergCement Group

  • Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills
