Campbell Concrete, a division of Lehigh Hanson, is seeking a qualified Customer Service Representative for our Houston, TX location. This position will report to the Transportation Manager.
The Customer Service Representative will provide effective customer service to internal and external customers by using in-depth knowledge of concrete products. This position will take customer orders and manage the flow of scheduled orders within a central dispatch environment for a ready mix concrete company (Campbell Concrete).
Campbell Concrete & Materials operates 23 ready mixed concrete plants throughout the greater Houston area. With more than 200 mixer trucks and nearly 400 dedicated employees, Campbell has provided a quality ready mix product for over 50 years. Currently, as part of Lehigh Hanson, Inc., one of the largest construction materials companies in North America, Campbell has access to the most knowledgeable experts in the industry. Campbell Concrete & Materials can provide a wide range of ready mixed concrete products to meet the requirements for all commercial, industrial, paving, residential projects, and DIY projects.
The ideal candidate will provide effective customer service to internal and external customers by using in-depth knowledge of specialty concrete products. This position will take customer orders and manage the flow of scheduled orders.

What you’ll get to do:
Having basic product knowledge in order to effectively process customer orders for material.
Communicating effectively with customers to provide up to date information in regard to the company’s ability to meet expected delivery times.
Review orders in the system for proper mix design, travel times, VAP needs, and correct job start times, and job or customer specific needs.
Communicate in an effective manner with all plant and operations personnel to ensure that the assigned shipping area has the proper resources, personnel, and trucks available to provide superior customer service.
Abides by all company policies and procedures.
Provide timely feedback to management regarding service failures or customer concerns.
Partner with the sales team to meet and exceed customer’s expectations.
Represent the company as our liaison between customers and operations personnel.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Ability to work fluctuating hours in accordance with customer needs.
Must be available to work Saturdays as required by business needs.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
Health & Safety issues addressed.
Fills in as needed to cover any other position with the department.
Demonstrated customer service excellence.
