Lehigh Hanson is seeking a qualified Rail Loadout Lead Person for our Crosby Location

The Rail Loadout Lead Person is responsible for the yard being open and overseeing that all trucks are loaded in a timely manner. Communicate with the Rail Terminal Supervisor in a timely manner on issues delaying timely unloading of trains. The Rail Loadout Lead Person is responsible for ensuring adequate stockpiles are available and maintained throughout the day. The Lead Person ensures the right product is given to the customer to maintain correct inventories. Responsibilities also include, performing maintenance, service, and clean up as needed.

As a Rail Loadout Lead Person you will:
Prioritize and Plans daily work for operators at the yard, this is position is a working supervisor.
Must be a customer / employee oriented person with a safety first attitude.
Help administer Take 5's and JSA's for all rail yard related projects.
Conduct and follow up on safety inspection daily and ensure the required paperwork is filled out.
Communicate regularly with the Rail Terminal Supervisor to insure proper oversight and management of the yard.
Review all finished paperwork for completion and accuracy, reporting any discrepancies to the Rail Terminal Supervisor.
Maintain data input on daily basis.
Be able to work off peak hours, evenings and weekends as needed by the customers and business.
Follow up and ensure correct material and weight is loaded on each truck.
Ability to help manage material piles to ensure inventory is correct and maximized.
Communicate repair and safety issues to Rail Terminal Supervisor.
Maintain communication and give direction to contractors / vendors.
Ability to perform other duties in the loading area (loader, water truck, locomotive).
Other job duties as assigned by the Rail Terminal Supervisor.
