Lehigh Cement is seeking a qualified Production Supervisor.

Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is responsible for supervising a production crew following a rotating shift schedule.

This position will reside at Lehigh Cement in Edmonton Alberta.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Daily leadership, supervision and coordination of a unionized production crew consisting of 11 employees including training, development, employee relations, daily timekeeping, and scheduling

  • Maximize production and ensure the efficient operation of the plant equipment in alignment with operational objectives

  • Monitors operations to meet pre-established production and quality standards

  • Promotes participation and ensures compliance with Group safety policies and procedures

  • Ensure compliance with environmental, process and product quality standards

  • Administer the collective bargaining agreement and company policies and procedures

  • Coordinate with the maintenance department to investigate equipment failures and resolve issues as required

  • Coordinate shift activities with other supervisors to increase continuity of operations

  • Other duties as assigned

Who we are looking for:

  • 3 - 5 years of applicable experience including the supervision of others.

  • Extensive plant/industrial knowledge – cement manufacturing background is desired

  • Minimum high school diploma with preference given to a Technical College graduate with a focus on mechanical and/or control systems

  • Experience with SAP and Kronos is an asset

  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office Suite)
