Lehigh Cement is currently looking for a responsible, safe, and dependable Millwright to join our local team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor in a unionized environment, this position is responsible to respond to equipment failures and affecting repairs on an unplanned basis as well as performing preventative maintenance on a planned basis.

What You Will Get to Do:
Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and replace mechanical systems and associated equipment.
Inspection of moving equipment such as belts, conveyors, crushers and rollers.
Perform field inspections of equipment for safe and proper operation.
Anticipate problems and identify opportunities for improvement.
Visual inspection and maintenance of the roller mill, coal mill, kiln and other machinery.
Operate machining tools to fabricate parts.
Perform preventative maintenance work on all site mechanical equipment.
Consult manufacturers' manuals to determine maintenance procedures.
Shift work is required to support the production department.
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, and with Company policies and procedures.
Who We Are Looking For:
Experience working in a heavy industrial / manufacturing environment.
Experience with the cement manufacturing process is an asset.
Valid interprovincial or Red Seal Millwright ticket.
Dual ticket certification (Welding or Machinist) is considered and asset.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot in a production environment.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics, drawings and blueprints.
Ability to solve practical problems and perform all technical aspects of the job using the appropriate tools or systems.
Proficient computer skills.
Strong knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy loads, sometimes 75+ lbs.
Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions.
Fall Arrest, Confined Space Entry, First Aid and Forklift certifications are an asset.
Requires lifting, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling, working at elevated heights, at times in tight and awkward positions.
