DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate the following equipment:

  • Haul Trucks

  • Loaders

  • Water Truck

  • Crusher

  • Bulldozers

  • Grader

  • Excavator

  • Fork Lift

  • Skid Steer

  • Back Hoe

  • Pick-Up Truck

  • Fast Lab & Hand Held quality analyzer

  • Two-way radio

  • Scheduled overtime as required, including weekends

  • Other job duties requested by supervision including housekeeping in all areas of the Quarry

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school education or equivalent.

  • Ability to safely operate all equipment listed above to manufacture and Lehigh Hanson standards.

  • Ability to utilize hand tools necessary for performing quality testing, clean-up, belt skirting changes, belt scraper adjustments and screen changes.

  • Demonstrate and convey knowledge in general mechanics and operating heavy equipment.

  • Communicate clearly and precisely with supervision and co-workers both orally and in writing.

  • Subject to other duties and responsibilities in the Quarry or Cement Plant.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • Follow all safety requirements

  • Ability to speak clearly on radio

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Full range of motion to include walking, climbing, lifting and stooping

  • Ability to walk on uneven ground

  • Depth perception and normal/corrected vision

  • Work outside in a hot dusty environment
