The Plant Maintenance Mechanic will troubleshoot, repair and maintain fixed plant mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment including crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, washing and classifying equipment, and other equipment used in the processing of aggregate products.

This position will reside in Coraopolis, PA

What we are looking for:

  • Ensures compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures.

  • Work safe and follow all Federal and State laws and regulations as well as company policies

  • Inspect equipment for safe and proper operation and perform preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer’s specifications.

  • Inspect, diagnose, and perform repair and maintenance of all plant equipment, using a variety of hand tools, power tools, shop machines, hoists, etc.

  • Install and replace bearings, speed reducers, shafts, pulleys, idlers, motors, couplings, etc.

  • Make major repairs to crushers, changing jaw dies, bearings, bushings, crusher mantles, etc.

  • Repair conveyor belts, feeders, and hydraulic systems.

  • Proficiently work with outside contractors on special projects.

What you will get to do:

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands on maintenance experience (or formal technical training), troubleshooting and repair

  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

  • Knowledge of mechanical moving parts (chains, bearings and rollers)

  • Able to weld and torch, certification a plus

  • Read and fabricate from drawings

  • Have a willingness to operate individually or within the constraints of a team environment.

  • Have reliable transportation to and from work

  • Available to work 6-days per week plus overtime

  • Lift up to 75 lbs

  • Stand for extended periods of time

  • Work in a marine environment

  • Work in all types of weather including hot, cold, dark, and wet conditions

  • MSHA Part 48 Training a plus
