Lehigh Hanson is seeking a qualified Mobile Equipment Mechanic who is responsible to maintain, repair, troubleshoot, install and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment related to mobile equipment, stationary engines and associated equipment for efficient and safe operation of the plant.

This position will reside in Coraopolis, PA .

What you’ll get to do:

  • Ensures compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures.

  • Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, such as cranes, bulldozers, graders, and conveyors, used in construction, logging, and surface mining.

  • Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.

  • Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.

  • Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.

  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.

  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.

Who we are looking for:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance scheduling

  • 3-5 years of journeyman level mechanic experience required

  • Valid drivers’ license required. Class A or B preferred.

  • Work in a marine environment

  • 5 years heavy mobile equipment experience

  • Experience preferred on Manitowoc 4500/4600
