Inland Pipe, a division of Lehigh Hanson Materials Limited, is seeking a qualified Technical Service Representative. This position will reside in Calgary, Alberta within the Pipe Region. The Technical Service Representative will report to the Customer Service Manager, Canada Region Pipe. The key targets for this role are:

· Elevation of the level of customer service in Pipe

· Ensuring timely and accurate complete of takeoffs for projects and quotations

· Working directly with sales groups to address project or quote related issues and customer specific requirements

· Working on projects and quotations from across Western Canada

· Recognizing and communicating opportunities to offer value added products and services during the takeoff process

· Working as part of a team to improve work flow and overall Titan performance

· ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS

  • Perform detailed takeoffs and create shop drawings of all pre cast drainage materials from plans for incoming projects

  • Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare quote packages for distribution by Sales group

  • Create AutoCAD drawings for items requiring specialized design or dimension information

  • Working closely with Sales group to ensure orders and quotes are accurate, complete and up to date

  • Working towards team KPI goals

  • Develop working knowledge of municipal specifications from across Western Canada

  • Ensure assigned work is completed in a timely and accurate manner

  • Ensure status of projects and quotes is updated frequently

  • Execute the sales strategy and deliver on the regional sales goals and objectives

  • Ensure titan ERP system is updated as needed to ensure accuracy of work

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technology diploma in civil engineering with some related experience or equivalent experience with strong technical aptitude

  • Working level knowledge with concrete pipe products including field applications and design requirements

  • Working knowledge of governing design and construction specifications

  • Strong computer skills -Titan ERP experience is preferred. Experience in AutoCAD and other design aids

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, decision making, and interpersonal skills

  • Problem solver with an aptitude for focusing on customer requirements

  • Ability to work well under time and scheduling pressures
