Inland Concrete a division of Lehigh Hanson Materials Limited is looking for a qualified Temporary Dispatcher for the Calgary operations. Reporting to the Transportation Supervisor, this position will focus on efficient and effective trucking dispatch. This role will also provide front line service and order taking as well as assisting batch plants to increase productivity.

This is a temporary position that will be required for 18 months.

What you will get to do:

  • Monitor and control dispatch and movement of trucks and drivers.

  • Responsible for the efficient distribution of concrete and maximization of load sizes.

  • Prioritize customers to provide superior service.

  • Receive customer orders and schedule deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction and transportation efficiencies

  • Schedule trucks as required to meet customer orders while maintaining an efficient operation.

Who we are looking for:

  • Post-Secondary education preferred: certification, diploma or degree.

  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated customer service experience.

  • Ready mix and/or construction building materials sector experience would be beneficial.

  • Knowledge of the Calgary & surrounding areas

  • Advanced communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Strong computer skills.
